Harcona
Harcona is a product of Lino Technologies LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we handle, on this website and in the Harcona service, and how we protect it.
This website
harcona.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising trackers, and has no forms. Our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services, processes standard technical information such as IP address and browser type to deliver the page and protect it from abuse.
"Book a demo" opens Cal.com, a separate scheduling service. What you enter there is handled under Cal.com's privacy policy. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply.
The Harcona service
Practices use Harcona to review insurance payments and work denials. That work involves protected health information (PHI), such as the patient and claim details in remittance files and charts.
- We handle PHI as a business associate. We sign a Business Associate Agreement with each practice before receiving any patient data, and we use PHI only to provide the service to that practice, as the agreement and HIPAA allow.
- Where it is kept. Data is processed and stored only in our Amazon Web Services environment in the United States, which is covered by AWS's Business Associate Addendum. It is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- AI features. AI models run inside our AWS account through Amazon Bedrock. Patient data is never sent to public AI services, and it is never used to train models.
- Each practice is separate. One practice's data is never visible to another.
- Accounts. For people who sign in, we keep an email address and role, and a record of sign-ins and of who viewed or changed what, so each practice can review access.
- We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
We keep a practice's data for as long as its agreement with us requires, and return or delete it when the agreement ends, as the Business Associate Agreement provides. Patients with questions about their own records should contact their practice, which controls that information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Material changes affecting practices will also be communicated to them directly.
